M.B. Govt. I.T.I was established in 1964 with 160 seats of trainees. Now Institute has intake capacity of 1568 seats of trainees. Nowadays technology is upgraded. Institute is acting and taking keen interest to prepare skilled trainees as demanded by various industries. From a seedling it has developed now to a huge banyan tree This institute imparts training in vocational job oriented courses. This institute has been awarded the certificate of ISO: 9001–2008.
Govt. of India decided to upgrade 100 ITIs in the country in to “Centre of Excellence” in the first phase in the FY 2005-2006 through domestic. The institute has started Center of Excellence in Electrical Sector since August 2006. So trainee gets various types of skill i.e. Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Computer.
M.B. Govt. I.T.I was donated by the then King of Gondal Maharaja Bhagvatsinhji. Gondal (Gokuliya Gondal as said) has been a heritage town. Industrial Training Institute (ITIs) are training institute which provide training in technical field in India. Normally a person who has passed 10 standard (SSLC) is eligible for admission to ITI. The objective of opening of ITI is provide technical manpower to industries.
These persons are trained in basic skills required to do jobs of say operator or a craftsman. The course in ITI is designed in way to impart basic skill in the trade specified. Most of ITIs impart training in technical trades like electrician, fitter, plumber etc.
People of engineering trade can go for higher studies like diploma in engineering. There are also specialized short term courses in Advanced Training Institute (ATI) which enhances the skills of candidates.
ITI qualified persons can set up their own garage, motor/generator/transformer winding shops or fabrication shops depending upon trade opted.
